An ecological oasis close to Ranthambhore National Park.

Located on the edge of Ranthambhore National Park, Khem Villas is a conservation-led retreat built around the restoration of a once-degraded landscape. Over three decades, the Rathore family has transformed scrubland into a thriving ecological sanctuary of grasslands, water bodies, and native vegetation that now supports rich birdlife and wildlife. Spread across 25 acres, the property combines understated comfort with a deep commitment to sustainability, using local materials, traditional building techniques, and low-impact design principles. More than a safari lodge, Khem Villas reflects a long-standing dedication to wildlife conservation, community welfare, and the preservation of the natural heritage that has made Ranthambhore one of India's most celebrated tiger landscapes.

Khem Villas Destination

Destination

Ranthambore became India's first Project Tiger reserve in 1972. Dominated by the ruined battlements of Ranthambore Fort, the forest features deep ridges, boulder-filled gorges, lakes and jungle - ideal habitat for carnivores. Tigers are frequently seen during the day, often stalking prey in full view, making it a favourite for wildlife photographers and enthusiasts alike.

Design and Concept

Conservation lies at the heart of Khem Villas, a 25-acre ecological oasis that has formed its own thriving ecosystem. The Singh family's deep commitment to protecting tigers and jungle inhabitants stems from decades of understanding Ranthambore's delicate balance. What was once degraded scrubland now supports grasslands, tree cover and small water bodies that attract birds and other wildlife to the property. Built with locally sourced materials and traditional skills, every element honours nature, exuding sophisticated charm whilst remaining earthy and rustic.
