Strategically located on top of a hill in the Aravalli Range, RAAS Devigarh overlooks the village of Delwara. It was built in the 18th century, under the reign of Rajrana Sajja Singh II. The palace was originally built using locally mined marble, a practise that was followed once again during its restoration. It came to its current form as a heritage boutique hotel in 1999, after 15 years of rigorous work to bring the vintage charm to new and modern comforts. The terraced structure still remains, while all contemporary comforts have been added to the rooms. Speaking of creature comforts, the spa and swimming pool top the list for guests.

The four kinds of suites at Devigarh – Garden, Palace, Aravalli, and Devigarh offer inimitable views and comfort in unique rooms. Private tented terraces, understated but luxurious interiors, and special wall art are the hallmarks of the experience. Soothing white walls, designs reflecting local craftsmanship, and Rajasthan inspired furnishings add an artistic accent to the rooms. The Devigarh Suite stands out for its golden bedroom that extends onto a private sun deck and jacuzzi. This complex includes a private black marble pool and room enough to enjoy a secluded dining experience as well. For a larger group, the Devigarh Complex combines this suite with one of the Aravalli Suites, which adjoins the pool area.

No Single-Use Plastic: In 2016, RAAS removed single-use plastic from all its properties. Glass bottles replaced single-use plastic bottles. Bathroom amenities come in refillable containers. RAAS also works with its vendors and suppliers to help them reduce single-use plastic waste in their operations.

Water Conservation: Water consumption across RAAS properties has been reduced through devices such as aerators that are fitted on to taps at all points of usage across the property – in guest bathrooms, public restrooms, staff washrooms, and kitchens. Grey water is recycled for use in gardens and public areas. Rainwater is harvested to reduce dependence on public resources.

Energy Efficiency: Water is heated using solar power. Air-conditioning is regulated using a system that has a Platinum LEED rating, resulting in less carbon-based energy being used in the cooling systems.

Local Community Engagement: A predominant part of the workforce is local to the region, and local businesses are supported, ensuring money goes directly back into the local communities.

Light Footprint Tourism: Locally available construction material has been used in the design and building of the hotels. All the hotels have their own herb and vegetable gardens used in the cuisine served. Additionally, what is not grown is sourced locally. In 2020, RAAS began growing its own organic wheat and pulses, and most of the produce used for cooking comes from organic sources.

Heritage Preservation: The palace has been restored and all efforts are made to ensure any further renovation and upkeep is done with utmost caution to maintain the palace.
